I love to use flower hanging baskets outside on my porch but after spending so much on summer hanging baskets I hate to do so again in the fall. My local nursery sells mums 4 for $12 but their hanging baskets were $12 a piece! Here's a clever way to repurpose your summer hanging basket with fall mums without paying the premium for the basket :)
This couldn't be more simple. First remove the old flowers from the basket. My basket had a little latch that I could undo to remove one of the hanger handles so it made it easier to remove the flowers.
Once you have the old flowers removed simply add in your new ones!
