Arugula & Prosciutto Pizza with Balsamic Drizzle

I know, this pizza sounds fancy!  Perfect for a date night in or just when you feel like something a little different.  The flavors pair so well together....it's sweet, salty & cheesy :)

You'll Need

  • Pizza Dough
  • Marinara Sauce
  • 1/8 lb prosciutto or real bacon bits
  • shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup of arugula
Preheat the oven for 475 degrees.  Roll out dough onto parchment lined paper.  Spread dough with marinara sauce then cheese.  Lay slices of prosciutto or sprinkle real bacon bits onto the top of the cheese.  Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until dough is crispy.  Meanwhile, pour balsamic into a small sauce pan.  Bring to a simmer then turn heat to low and allow the balsamic to reduce until thick.  You will end up with only a few tablespoons of the balsamic once it has reduced.  Remove pizza from the oven and place the arugula on top.  Drizzle with the balsamic, slice and serve!
