No Bake Kit Kat Bars

Love Kit Kats?  Here's a no bake treat that tastes just like the candy bar!  Perfect sweet treat without having to turn on the oven!

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 80 Ritz crackers
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
*If you want to make just a small tupperware version as shown above just cut the recipe in half.
  1. In a medium sauce pan place in first 5 ingredients.  Mix well and bring to a boil.  Boil for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
  2. Layer a singe layer of Ritz crackers in a 9x13 in pan and pour 1/2 of the graham cracker mixture over it.  Place another single layer of crackers and pour the remaining mixture over it.  Finally, add another layer of crackers.
  3. For the topping, melt the butterscotch chips, chocolate chips and peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat.  Spread mixture over the top of the crackers.  Allow to cool completely and cut into squares.

  1. I would love to make these, but I'm a little hesitant....the directions call for making them in a 13 x 9 pan, yet the picture above suggests that they were made in something individual (mini muffin pan? Something with beveled sides?) Just looking for the best possible result ~ has anyone else tried them yet?

  2. I made them in a regular pan and cut them into small squares and they are excellent! However, I would call these Twix Bars rather than Kit Kat Bars because they have carmel in them.

  3. By the way, be sure to stir constantly for the 5 minutes while boiling at medium heat.
