Mason Jar Ice Cream

This is an adorable favor for Spring or Summer parties or something fun for kids to make at a birthday party.  So simple and easy to put together and guest will love them!

For 8 oz mason jar each jar you'll need:
  • 1/4 cup rock salt
  • 1 tbl sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla powder or cocoa powder
  • 1 qt ziplock bag
  • 8 single serve half & half packets

Place rock salt in the bottom of the jar.  Seal the sugar and vanilla powder in the ziplock bag and add into hte jar along with the half & half packets.  When your ready to make ice cream, add the half & half packets to the ziplock bag and fill the jar with ice.  Shake vigerously for about 10 minutes or until you have created ice cream in the bag.  Remove and enjoy!

If you are giving these as favors, tie an instruction tag to the jar for guests to take home with them!
