This french toast is bursting with Autumn flavor! Kids will love them (what kid doesn't like finger food) but they are also a great grab and go for on the way to work. If you prefer you can make this without slicing the bread into sticks. I happened to have day old Italian bread on hand so the slices were small enough so I didn't need to slice them into sticks. These freeze well so make extra!

Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbl pure pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- pinch of nutmeg
- pinch of cloves
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 slices of day old bread, each sliced into 4 sticks
- butter
- maple syrup (optional)
- powdered sugar (optional)
- pecans (optional)
Mix all ingredients besides the bread and butter in a shallow dish. Heat a medium size skillet and grease with a pat of butter. While the pan is heating, place the bread slices into the pumpkin egg mixture and allow the bread to saturate. Place the sticks into the prepared skillet and allow to brown on all sides. Serve with warm maple syrup and powdered sugar if desired.
