Mason Jar Salad Dressing

I love to make my own salad dressing.  It's always fresh and there's no need for extra fat and oil.  Here's a way to mix up your own dressing all in one jar....no need to dirty extra dishes!

Citrus Vinaigrette
  • 2 tbl powdered fruit pectin
  • 2 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 tbl citrus juice (any will do, i.e. orange, lemon, lime)
  • 3 tbl white wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
Greek Dressing
  • 4 tbl lemon juice
  • 4 tbl red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
Creamy Ranch Dressing
  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 3 tbl low fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tbl dill
  • 1 tbl chives
For all these dressings, place all ingredients into the mason jar and place lid on tight.  Shake until all ingredients are incorporated.  Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
