DIY Leg Warmers from Old Sweaters

Here is a great way to re purpose old sweaters....turn them into legwarmers!  It's so simple, all you need is a needle and thread and wala - legwarmers :)

You'll Need

  • 1 old sweater
  • needle
  • thread
  • scissors
First you will need to remove the sleeves from the body of the sweater.  Carefully pick the thread away from the body of the sweater so the arm will come detached.  Turn the arm inside out and stitch up the side to make the arm an even width (you will be stitching a skinny triangle shape only about 1/2 way up the arm).  Cut away the excess on the part that you stitched and turn right side in.  You have created your leg warmer! Pull on so the end that was attached to the body of the sweater is at your foot, it will fit perfectly over your shoe :)
