DIY Candle Tarts

Here is a great way to get use of ALL of the wax in a jarred candle.  No more will you have to waste an inch or more of good wax from an expensive candle because the wick has burned out.  This is so easy and you can create your own scents!

You'll Need
  • A large pot
  • old candles
  • cookie sheet with sides
  • tin foil
Place as many candles in the pot that will fit without touching.  Fill just until the bottoms are covered with water, about 2 inches or so.  Place over low heat on the stove until the water warms and melts the wax. Coat the cookie sheet with foil.  Once the wax has melted, carefully remove the candles from the pot with oven mits and pour onto the cookie sheet.  Allow to cool completely.  Once cooled, break into chunks and use as tarts!

Lucy!
