These are adorable for Valentines Day!  Surprise you kids with these heart shaped pop tarts for breakfast on Valentines Day morning.  They would even be great to wrap in a cellophane bag and hand out for Valentine treats :)

You'll Need
  • 2 sheets premade pie crust
  • heart shaped cookie cutter
  • desired filling
    • any flavored jam
    • nutella & peanut butter
    • lemon curd
    • s'mores - Fluff, graham cracker crumbs & 1 square of chocolate
    • fresh fruit & cinnamon or brown sugar
    • strawberries & cream - strawberries, cream cheese & dash of brown sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line baking sheet with parchment paper.  Unroll the pie crust on lightly floured surface.  Cut out the heart shapes with your cookie cutter (depending on how large or small your cutter is will depend on how many tarts you will get).  Place 1 heat onto cookie sheet and place about 1 tablespoon of filling into the center (more or less depending on the size of your heart).  Place another heart on top and crimp the sides with a fork making sure to seal well.  Poke a small hole in the center to allow for ventilation while cooking, or if you have a tiny heart cookie cutter cut out a heart in the top heart prior to placing on top of filling.  Bake for about 15 - 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
