Ingredients for Play Dough
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups salt
  • 6 tsp cream of tarter
  • 3 tbl oil
  • 3 cups water
  • food coloring
  • 4 oz mason jars (Walmart sells them in packages of 12 for around $10 and 4 packs for around $4)
Place all ingredients into a large pot and stir constantly while on low.  A large ball will form and will start to pull away from the sides.  Remove from heat and knead the dough until it is play dough texture.

You may need to make a double batch depending on how many jars you need to fill.  Tie a cookie cutter around the lid and you have the perfect gift!
